Record-Breaking Temperature February 21

The East Coast felt more like May than February 21, with temperatures of at least 30 degrees Fahrenheit above average for this time of year. All-time record high temperatures were set from Florida to the northern tip of Maine, as a southwest flow of air transported mild, moisture-laden air from the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean.

These records add to the milestones already achieved on Tuesday, when cities like Boston and Washington, D.C. broke records. Mirroring the state of our politics, the U.S. is split in two, with record cold across the West, heat in the East, and flooding rains and even thundersleet (yes, thundersleet) in between.

Help With Tables Needed

The NHBA has relied on Dan McGuire to store and transport the tables we use at our sectionals and State Championship for many years. We don't expect Dan to do this forever so we're looking for anyone who has a suitable vehicle or trailer and sufficient space to store tables to volunteer. The NHBA has considered purchasing a trailer if someone has space for it, or renting a trailer if necessary. Please use the Contact Us page on this website to volunteer.

New Tournament Sites Needed

The NHBA continues to search for new tournament sites. If there's a site in your area that you think may be suitable for a tournament, please let us know! Contact Sarah Widhu, the President of the NHBA, at (603) 881-7518 or or use the Contact Us page on this website.
